PRESALE: 2026 Twelve Month Calendar -- Verdant Geometry (NEW)
These are being made right now and we have them available for presale. Any other items purchased in the same order will ship together with your calendar, which may delay their delivery. All items expected deliverable before the Holidays, if unexpected delays occur we will reach out to you.
This year’s twelve-month calendar features luminous emerald moths from across eastern North America, each month showcasing a plate from Samuel Jaffe’s forthcoming book. It offers a rare sneak peek into his work, pairing Sam's striking images with brief info about their hosts and range. This calendar doubles as a field guide to the emeralds of eastern North America, covering additional species in the last few pages.
The emeralds are a study in crypsis and charisma—caterpillars mirroring their host plants, adults showing how many ways a green moth can dazzle. This small group alone reminds us of the unseen beauty always close at hand in the natural world.
**Attention -- We offer our calendars as both a standard retail item and fundraising tool. Please pay close attention to your selected amount to avoid paying more than expected: choosing a higher price level is equivalent to adding a donation that goes directly towards supporting the educational, scientific, and artistic efforts of the Lab!
Your generosity fuels our efforts across New England and beyond, from fieldwork to education. For contributions beyond the “Evolution” level, please contact Sam Jaffe, Director of The Caterpillar Lab, at jaffe@thecaterpillarlab.org or 603-876-5057.
The Caterpillar Lab is a New Hampshire non-profit corporation recognized by the United States Internal Revenue Service as an I.R.C. Section 501(c)(3) Public Charity. Donations are tax deductible by the donor to the extent permitted by law (please subtract a twenty dollar amount from any deduction to cover the value of our calendar gift.)

Why Support The Caterpillar Lab?
The Caterpillar Lab is unlike anything else in environmental education. Using native caterpillars, we open people’s eyes to the wild world hidden in their own backyards—changing the way they see their “old familiar places” forever.
We blend art, science, and storytelling through exhibits, programs, media, and research, reaching tens of thousands in person and millions online. Every visit, every program, every image is designed to spark curiosity and inspire discovery.
We’re passionate, we’re unique, and our work is only possible because of supporters like you. Join us—your donation directly supports this one-of-a-kind mission.
