Our NEW 365 Caterpillar-a-Day Calendar opens up the extraordinary world of caterpillars across all of eastern North America, from the southern tip of Florida to the rocky coasts of Maine. This special EXPLORER’S Edition highlights remarkable species found in unique habitats — a new caterpillar and a new adventure every day.
Each week takes you to a new corner of Eastern North America, pairing a featured habitat with the caterpillars that define it. Weekend pages highlight the place, shown through old maps, postcards, or artwork, while weekdays spotlight caterpillars found there using The Caterpillar Lab’s own imagery. You’ll meet both habitat specialists and unexpected wanderers. This isn’t a “how to find caterpillars” manual—it’s a series of mini field trips that inspire a new way of exploring nature, with a few helpful tips woven in.
This calendar aims to transform the way you see every landscape – from a parking-lot edge to a national park. It takes you through 52 locations and 261 caterpillars! You’ll meet the common, the rare, and even some species documented for the very first time.

Our calendars function as both a retail item and a fundraising tool for our nonprofit organization. We offer several pricing levels: Choosing a higher level is equivalent to adding a donation that directly supports the educational, scientific, and artistic efforts of the Lab. Please double-check your selected price level before adding to your cart.
