Vintage Calendars - 12-Month and Page-a-day Calendars from previous years
The Caterpillar Lab has been producing calendars for almost a decade! These calendars from previous years may not be useful to keep track of time anymore, but they are still chock full of beautiful and breath-taking photos, as well as amazing information on the native caterpillars, moths and butterflies of New England!
Use these images for crafts, framing, or collage! Also great for schools, camps, and after-school programs! All of these calendars contain photographs exclusively taken by the Lab's director, Sam Jaffe! Choose from our previous calendars:
Twelve-Month: twelve 11x8.5" full-image pages, with some pages including information about the images.
2023: Predator Eyes - Focused solely on caterpillars that mimic predators with eyespots.
2022: Sculpted by Nature - Some of the more artsy photos Sam has taken!
2021: Spectrums of Diversity - Focused on color; includes all six of our "color plates" of local caterpillars.
2020: Life Cycles - Each page is split between a black-background image and a plate of an in-depth focus on the lifecycle of that caterpillar.
2019: Varieties - Focuses on the similar appearances of both related and unrelated species.
2018: White Background - The first calendar with all white-background images, showcasing some of the stranger stories from the caterpillar world.
2017: White/Black Background - Marking when Sam started to focus more on white-background photographs, this calendar is a mix of both.
Page-a-Day: each calendar contains over 300 pages (6 days per week) of images, some with informative text on them.
2023: Theme Weeks - Each week features a different theme, with the Saturday/Sunday page being the "cover page" and the following five days showcasing examples of that theme.
2023: Metamorphosis - Possibly our most popular calendar ever, with alternating days depicting a caterpillar and then its adult, with some info on the moth page.
2022: Theme Weeks - same as 2023 Theme (though 2023 is actually the reprint of 2022!) [does not include a printed box]
2021: Metamorphosis - same as 2023 Metamorphosis (although 2023 is actually a reprint of the original from 2021!) [box is slightly damaged]
